2008 Haspin MX RACE Rules

The following rules are applicable to Haspin Racing events operated by Dan & Becky Mullins. The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to establish minimum acceptable requirements and to provide for the orderly conduct of racing event.


1. The Race Officials have the final say in all disputes.
2. Haspin Racing reserves the right to refuse and/or deny any entry application.
3. All riders are responsible for attending Riders Meeting.
4. Riders must always wear a helmet when traveling to and from their pit area, bathrooms,etc.
5. Riders are responsible for the actions of their entire pit crew.
6. Rider Contact: Deliberate ramming, blocking, or intentional contact with another rider may be cause for penalty.
7. Rider Conduct: Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in penalty, including disqualification.
8. Riders under the age of 18 must provide a photo I.D. or Birth certificate for proof of age upon request at time of registration and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
9. The entry applications of persons under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the release form.
10. If racer under the age of 18, who's parent cannot accompany them to the race, rider must provide a notarized letter from their parent to participate.
11. A rider may petition in writing to the Haspin Racing to move to a lower classification, and will be judged based on class finishes and time differences.
12. Any entry who fails to fully fill out and sign required entry forms and release shall be disqualified, shall forfeit any prize money and points in that particular event.
13. Any entrant who competes on a vehicle that he/she is not registered to ride or permits such action, shall forfeit any and all prize money, points won in that particular event.
14. Alcohol or narcotics in designated pits, on the race course or in the surrounding areas by any person is strictly forbidden. Any entrant or crew member in an event that shows evidence whatsoever of being under the influence of any of aforementioned shall be subject to suspensions form all future Haspin Racing sponsored events.
15. Any entrant disqualified from any event for any reason whatsoever forfeits any and all rights to prize money, points and contingencies. Entrant will not be entitled to a refund of all or any portion of his/her entry fee.
16. Haspin Racing retains the right to asses each situation and respond accordingly (situations involving safety are at the discretion of the race director).

 

 

 SIGN-UP / RACE TIMES / FEES
• ALL Races will be Saturday night races on the small MX track.  Sign up from 2:00-5:00pm, practice at 5:00pm Race begins at 6:00pm

 Race Fees:   **First class: Pro classes -$30, all other classes -$20     **additional classes - $15


EQUIPMENT:

1. All machines must have silencers.
2. All machines must have a working tether kill switch.
3. Helmet, goggles, over
the ankle Boots, Gloves, Long sleeve shirt and long pants are required for all riders.
4. Safety equipment and machine eligibility are the sole responsibility of the rider and may be tested at anytime prior to, during or after event.

 

START PROCEDURE:
1. Starting procedures will be explained at Riders Meeting.
2. Riders shall line up on their assigned starting row when directed by the race official.
3. It is a racers responsibility to be at the staging area when his/ her class is due to start. 

RIDER NUMBERS
• numbers may be used by only 1 rider in a class. First come, first serve.
• Number must be displayed on both the front and rear of atv's and on the front and both sides of bikes. It is the racers responsibility to make their number CLEARLY VISIBLE...if we cant see your number, we cant score you!

SCORING:
EACH RACE: awards will be given out to the top third of each class. (one for every three entries)  All 50cc riders will receive a participation award.

1. A rider may question/protest the scores within the 15-minute period following the posting of the final results. After 15 minutes, awards will be given out.
2. Protests must be in writing.
3. Penalties will be assessed at the discretion of the official based on the severity of the offense, and may include one or more of the following: position(s), lap(s), time penalty, or disqualification.

4 You must race at 6 of the 8 races (in the same class) to be eligible for yearend awards.  You are allowed 2 drops, which would be your 2 worst finishes, DNFs, or no-shows....so your best 6 of 8 scored count toward the yearend championship.  There IS a 5 point bonus for making ALL 8 races.

5. END OF YEAR: awards will be given out to the TOP 3 in each class.

TIES
• Ties for the class championship will be broken by the most first place finishes, then by the most second place finishes, and so on as necessary. If a tie still remains, the championship goes to the rider that finished highest in the last race that they BOTH competed in. (not necessarily the last race of the year)  ----

Awards

• 1 Plaque for every 3 riders in that class
• All 50cc riders will receive plaques.

100% *  of the Entry fee
* # of Entrants, will be announced in riders meeting prior to the race and a vote will be taken to see how far to pay back, plaques will automatically be 1 for every 3 entrants.

 

FEE'S

Admission to Haspin Acres is $15 per person. In addition, each person must make a one time purchase of a "Liability Waiver Card" for $1 that is good for 1 year from day purchased. If you are a spectator only and will not be riding any atv or bike that day, entry is $10, but you must tell them at the gate, or they assume you are riding.  Entry fee allows you to be at the park until 9am the next morning. If you stay past 9am, you must pay another $15 day fee. For the $15 fee, you may also camp on our grounds. There are shower/bathroom facilities available to all.
